Stafford Beer was a British cyberneticist, known and somewhat legendary for his diverse interests, including yoga, Poetry and Sanskrit, but also for his alcoholism during lectures or during discussions with his students in the pub. In the 1970s he developed the Viable System Model (VSM) and worked with the Unidad Popular government in Chile. These experiences had a lasting influence on his perspective on society and the state. Beer's poems and writings reflect his thoughts and form the starting point for this exhibition.
